HSA Benefits

  • Contributions reduce your taxable income.
  • Funds roll over from year to year.
  • The account is yours to keep — even if you leave Caltech or retire.
  • After age 65, you can withdraw funds for any reason without penalty (income tax applies if not used for medical expenses).

  • Contributions are made with pre-tax dollars which can lower your taxable income and reduce the amount of taxes you pay.
  • Funds can be used for eligible medical, dental, and vision expenses.
  • You can also open a separate FSA to help pay for childcare expenses.

Tuition Reimbursement
The Tuition Reimbursement Program provides eligible employees with the opportunity to develop, enhance, or refine their skills through education at accredited colleges, universities, and job-related training organizations. Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Caltech is a qualifying employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Eligible employees may qualify for loan forgiveness after meeting federal requirements. Visit studentaid.gov.

Credit Union
